  1. One thing I learned a long time ago, that has been incredibly helpful, was to basically ignore the scale, and go by how I feel, and how my clothes fit. MUCH better indicators of true 'weight", than the scale. The first thing I tell people who are looking to lose weight, is "you don't want to lose "weight", you want to lose fat". The second thing I tell them is that eagle-eying the scale will only kill your motivation, because it will tell you lies, but if you MUST use the scale – no more than once per week. The fact the water weight alone can fluctuate by multiple pounds throughout the day is enough to tell me to ignore the scale. I do step on it every now and then just to see, but if I've "gained weight", but my clothes fit better and I feel good, I know it's full of crap.

  3. What about supplementing with dextrose pre/post heavy strength training sessions? Will it hinder the keto deal?

  5. yes you can control your blood sugar but you are maximizing your insulin resistance on a keto diet. That is why you can't eat carbs on a keto diet…your blood sugar will skyrocket. Not sure I am believing that paper.

  6. I am one that needed to hear this today. Low calorie keto with 16/8 fasting. I have stalled over the last few days and I was beginning to worry. Trusting the process!
