This is a safe, total body strength workout for anyone with Fibromyalgia or chronic pain. Make sure that before you start strength training, you have the correct posture and breathing technique. Check out these other videos for help with breathing and with posture:

When performing the strengthening exercises, start with 8 repetitions and only one set 2 days a week. Make sure to do the exercises on non-consecutive days.

  1. Figured out that the cause of my fibro was hardcore TMJ. After correcting the TMJ with a mouth appliance, my pain went from a 9+ to about a 7 within five months. It allowed me to start exercising again and after two months of training I’m at about a 5.5 in terms of fibro pain. Still have to rest for several hours each day, but much improved.

  5. As someone with Fibro it’s awesome having health content geared toward people who experience consistent pain. It’s really exciting to hear it from a professional who feels what we feel too for better guidance, definitely going to be looking more at your channel. I’d also like to say that I want to get to a point of “real” strength training to get some kind of definition, defy the Fibro! I did a 5k last fall with a time of 48:15, and a slight flare up starting at around the 2nd mile. While that’s awesome, it made me sad knowing my fastest in highschool was 26min and some change. A huge goal of mine is to get a sub 30min time in the future. Hoping that this content can help condition me to meet these goals and not feel like I’m killing my body for nothing.

I weigh 234 lbs and I really want to get back down to 130 lbs badly… I feel so ugly at this size and I hate how big I've gotten but fibromyalgia gives me so much pain, and I was diagnosed at 23 years old (almost 25 now)… I want to try this and yoga to help me.     Used to work hard, Used to Play hard… back injury!…..fusion 3 years later car wreck, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, severe stress, costochondritis, food allergies, was 102 kg and 80 ?
    Looking thin..glad for the less flare ups but I need to put muscle on however any activity hurts something….crazy!

  11. Liver Transplant Patient 1995. Diagnosed Chronic Pain – Fibromyalgia- Osteoporosis-Ankylosing Spondylitis- Generalized Osteoarthritis- Chronic Immunosuppression . I would like to get stronger with your Stretching etc.

  13. My fibro pain is managed with Naltrexone and Cymbalta. I've also begun a strength training routine using kettlebells on days I don't go to the gym. Most days I feel good. But, the barometric pressure is taking a deep dive and I have a flare-up. Should I try to do my kettlebell routine during a flare-up? I'm trying to lose weight and I don't want to lose momentum.
