There are two sides to the autonomic nervous system, when you take adderall you stimulate the SNS which is responsible for fight or flight. This causes the body to FIGHT for attention during the day.

When you apply ANY other stress to the body that also stimulates the SNS it will not longer continue to FIGHT… It will FLIGHT! Thats why people who take adderall feel tired, stressed, and burnt out when their weight training.

Their body is exhausted from the stress from the adderall … Weight training is another form of stress to the body which causes TOO much stress durning the day.

The best way to deal with this is to stimulate the PNS ( opposite side of the branch) You can do this by

1- Breathing deeply and taking longer rest in-between sets when training.

2- Eating a nice big meal before training , especially high in slow digesting carbs, this will activate digestion which turns on the PNS.

3- DRINK MORE WATER!

  2. I started taking addrerall/Ritalin for ADHD, I used to get in the gym and lift heavy weight 3-4 times a week no problem. Now I feel my muscles fatigue quickly. I get craps when I go for higher reps, my cardio workouts are short because I have trouble keeping my heart rate down. Overall, when it’s 3pm I feel like just going to bed. I’m going to work to get off the meds because I really value my fitness more than being dependent on a drug.

  4. Where are your cites and links to your professional licensing? The style and the degree to what you are saying is face vs opinion. If you're a licensed professional or have a certificate that specializes you in what you're attempting to teach, I apologize.

    I had to stop a minute into this video to check your credentials on your videos page. I couldn't find anything that shows where you're getting this info (cites), or what documents you have in any sense that shows you're information is factual. Without that, this is an opinion video. Please prove me wrong and please remember. Its good to be challenged and it's good to be questioned. The more of what you might think is hate happens or is directed at you.

    The more you're forced to read and start having backed info and credentials to be doing what you're attempting to do here. It will still be your opinion, yet with the stuff I mentioned. It will be credibly backed facts. Because you will have provided and listed them.

  5. I have a question I’m on this since 3 weeks ago. 5mg I feel calm and not as anxious but I honestly feel so tired idk how to do anything and my hyperfocus is worse. I feel like I need it but idk any suggestions. Btw she just increased it after 3 weeks to 5mg twice a day.

  7. Just got put on Adderall XR 20mg, thinking it's probably a good idea to get off a high stim pre-workout. Any suggestions for non-stim pre workouts or any supplements to help with focus/pumps? Thanks for the info!

  8. I have never taken ADHD medication in my life even though I had ADHD all my life, but I lift weights and talk to plenty of people in a day, I'm basically fine.
