How Long Does It Take To Lose Weight?

How long does it take to lose weight? This isn’t something that can be answered definitively. In this video, I’ll expand on WHY, but one key thing you want to remember:

There are SO many factors that come into play that affect how quickly you’ll see results, some that are unpredictable.

My fat loss journey definitely was NOT linear. I can’t even tell you how long it took because there were so many ups and downs. I definitely felt hopeless at times.

That isn’t meaning to sound discouraging! It’s more so to inform you so you’re mentally prepared to weather the storm lol. And to not quit!

Progress isn’t always linear, and a lot of people don’t realize this, get discouraged, and give up.

As soon as they start to face setbacks, they think that they’re not capable of reaching their goals.

But that’s not true AT ALL.

It just means that there are obstacles and setbacks, which can make getting to where you want take a bit longer than you thought.

This is why it’s SO important to enjoy the journey and the small accomplishments along the way.

Over time these things will add up, create better habits, and help you continue seeing results.

While you push through the obstacles, you’ll be building those good habits that will help you get so much further if you keep going! It is WORTH IT!

  2. Progress not being linear is huge. One of my worst plateaus was when I was working out 5 days a week for a month and lost nothing. That was very mentally challenging. My body only reset when I had a cheat day and let my body rest for a days. Made me feel like that whole month of work was a waste.

  3. Hell no, it ain’t linear. I am 15 years old and I weight around 205lbs and I’m only 5’10. The reason I bring my weight up is because I was 180lbs 3 months ago. COVID messes me up and cause me to binge eat + gain all my weight back. I plan on going vegan and starting an IF routine. I’m also going to work out as much as possible over the next few weeks.

  4. Hey ! I lost 180 lbs from 2016 to the end of 2017, since 2018 it's been very Yo-Yo. I'm mad at myself right now. Any tips for the psychological pat of sticking to a deficit or anything? can you reply here or make a video about the psychology part of eating junk food/fast food/binging? MyFitnessPal app or LCHF is great and all but if one can't tackle the mental aspect, it seems like a losers game.
