  1. What do you guys think? Have you tried Apple Cider Vinegar? Sometimes anecdotes can be very enlightening (as long as we keep their limitations in mind). What did you find it helpful for (if anything)?

  2. I guess bullshit videos like this is what happens when people try to make videos about scientific studies without even properly understanding them. Literally every paper you have shown in this video claimed vinegar has benefits. Zero papers claimed "no benefits" and you just tried to dismiss them with no counter-evidence and extrapolated on your own without zero scientific evidence to support your extrapolation and yet you dare put science-based on title. 10/10 clickbait

    Summary of this retarded video:
    – Shows studies highlighting ACV has benefits – yet attempts to completely dismiss them because apparently they didn't test every single combination possible in this universe (no shit sherlock)
    – makes random claims with saying "I imagine" as a counter argument and claims this video is science-based because apparently, your imagination is what defines science.

    My dear low IQ meat head friend, you do realize that only difference between groups was ACV right? 2kg loss in 3 months because of ACV alone is HUGE difference. And ofc they will regain weights, that is literally how body is supposed to work, it would be odd if they didn't without changing their food group or anything else.

  3. 0:42 No, you're not supposed to add yeast or anything other than fruits and sugar to the water. You may be referring to the industrial mass-produced version of vinegar here, in which they add the yeast to accelerate the fermentation. Natural apple cider vinegar takes several weeks and some effort to produce from scratch (without the mother). And you're not supposed to eat or consume the "mother" once it forms; you're supposed to leave it the hell alone so it keeps producing more apple cider vinegar by you just adding water, sugar, and a little fruit. That is unless you bought an organic bottle from a health store and you will buy a new bottle in the future, then you can consume the mother just fine, but I've never heard anything about it being so special to consume compared to the organic apple cider itself. And raw, organic apple cider vinegar is awesome. I literally feel it helping me with digestion and even reducing the bad effects of overconsumption of sugar; no placebo crap, I physically feel it relieving me when I add a tablespoon or two of it to warm water and drink that.

  5. Your videos are always bias based on your cognitive certainty bias when you pick out the studies you choose to source based on which you deem good or bad. Theirs always studies to counter everything. So silly how well read and pretentious you attempt so hard to portray.

  6. It may not be nutritious but it allows me to eat more nutritious foods thanks to the digestion boost it gives. It also indirectly reduces my cortisol because I don't have to worry about gas and other embarrassing stuff in social situations.

  7. are there a lot of bacteria in the mother? if yes, you could profit from them if you don't have enough 'good' bacteria in your gut that produce SCFAs from fiber.
    the pathway regarding ACV is the following:
    acetic acid ==> L cells ==> GLP-1, PYY
    PYY: the brain downregulates hunger
    GLP-1: tells the alpha cells to lower glucagon production, lower glucagon is reducing gluconeogenesis in the liver, that lowers insulin, that increases lipolysis, that change in fuel mix in the blood/cells makes the mitochondria burn more fat and less glucose.
    ==> weight loss in the form of body fat loss.
    you are right, that affects primarily (pre-)diabetic persons with insulin resistance.
    why? because they don't have a healthy microbiome that delivers enough SCFAs to the L cells. the result is not enough GLP-1. and the acetic acid in ACV is a good substitute.
    if you are not (pre-)diabetic/insulin resistant, then your GLP-1 is already high and the additional acetic acid from ACV will probably not boost it any higher.

  8. For me it definitely was helpful, my digestion was better and it helped especially with fat loss by suppressing appetite. It helped me a lot since I do fasting quite frequently, especially OMAD breakfast.
