I think I would need to see someone who's successfully lost a large amount of weight eating over 2,000 calories a day to be sold on this method. All I see are these influencers that are already super in shape saying that we should eat a whole bunch of protein and a whole bunch of calories.
That’s exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you. I’m 41 and I’m struggling so much to lose weight. It seems like everything I do doesn’t work. I’m doing a detox now. Every other person have lost from 5 to 10 lbs and I have lost nothing. It’s so infuriating! I’m going to try to eat more protein, cut down cardio and work on weight training for now on.
I'm 34, I went from 116 lbs to 131 in 2 years (intense masters courses and then COVID) and I just cant seem to shed the weight like I used to. No matter what I do. I just keep seeing the scale go up. I used to lose weight so quick. I eat SO healthy, well balanced (protein/fat/carbs), always have. And only now, after watching your explanation, is it making sense! Thank you so much. I will now focusing on strength training and let go of the scale for at least a month (keeping the goal small to make it attainable!) Thank you. <3
quick question. I am working with a dietitian/nutritionist and mind you she is supposed to be specialized in physical fitness science and I am seeing her due to undereating and overtraining just having a bad relationship with food and she wanted me to stop my strength training and just stop all together or just do 2 full body strength days but wanted me to do cardio 5 days a week 30 minutes anyway I want but I have a manual treadmill and she said do it that way and keep my heart rate at 130 but I feel 150 min of cardio plus the weight training was to much but I l miss my strength days and I don't get why she is pushing the cardio. Any tips think she's right or should I do what I feel is right btw I'm 5'4 and 144 pound female 33

But what if you give yourself 2 years to build up to 2,000-2,300 calories a day and it’s mainly protein and carbs lots of veggies but your stomach hurts and you start vomiting daily?? But if you do light exercise and Eat 1,400 calories a day or less you feel fine?? That’s the predicament I’m in. I gain weight like crazy eating under 2000 calories a day but if I eat that many (even in small meals or snacks throughout the day) I get really sick… I’m getting so frustrated. Like now… I gotta go like 2,3 days without eating cause my stomach can’t take it and that means less exercise and I’ll try again but I’ll probably get sick again…. I never had this problem when I was younger and doctors can’t give me a reason why it’s happening now other than my body wants less calories a day.

I had trouble eating, I’m new and my main goal is to build muscle and what worked for me is the keto diet that I got from ketogenerator.online . I’ve been using it for a couple of months and It’s been working for me, I don’t know if it works to lose weight but It has the option to. Don’t lose motivation! I learnt that discipline is key I hope it helps 🙂

Can I use cardio for body fat?

I'm 36 and struggle with too much body fat. I have lots of cellulite and I'm a bit flabby. I don't have rolls, but I'm not happy with looking like this. I'm not fat, I'm reasonably thin. I would like to change my workouts, I do mostly body weight, high reps and some resistance training with bands mostly because I travel a lot; and my diet to keep my weight but get a lot more toned and lean.
Yeah, I noticed that when I was working out and I ate enough to be full the scale wouldn't change but my body fat would go down.
